Scrolling(Always Available) Borders and more

Please note that official support for this menu version has now ceased. There are still plenty of users, though, and the forum is still running. Some of our long-time users may be able to help you out.

Scrolling(Always Available) Borders and more

Post by louwall »

Hope someone out there can help me with this issue. Not sure how to go about it so I'll just explain what I'm trying to do.

Basically I want to create a page which has the always available vertical scrolling menu on the left. just like milonic's home page. When i go to download the zip file on the always available page, there is no scrolling array file in the package. just the standard menu file. but i can download the scrolling_array.js file there on the page so that's what i did.

I set it up fine except that with that scrolling array file, there doesn't seem to be any way to put borders around each menu option. The weird part is that borders appear on submenu options. Do I need to have a top menu as well or is it possible to just configure a page with a scrolling menu like the one on milonics homepage and with all parameters they have, including border color?

I also had the problem of no borders.
After some testing i found a solution:
Although the menues are automatically adjusted you have to define a width to get the borders displayed
Maybe this will help you too

Different Solution

Post by louwall »

After playing around i found a different solution to the problem. There is a parameter in each menu call that actually produces the separator bar. you have to figure out which one it is in all those commas and just throw a 1 in every element of the menu you want to have bars. Its towards the end of the line.
